Eligibility: UK & EU passport holders
Salary: £625–£700 PCM gross, depending on qualifications, plus shared accommodation, meals, flights, and an excellent overall package.
As a UK-based business operating overseas, we’re able to arrange the required visas and work permits for UK and EU passport holders to work legally in our resorts.

Some of our roles require specific professional qualifications before you can join us, and Activities Assistant is one of them. But you don’t necessarily need years of professional experience behind you.

About You
You’re energetic, adaptable and happiest when every day brings something different.
You enjoy meeting new people, thrive as part of a team and are always willing to get stuck in wherever you’re needed.
This role is ideal for someone who already has – or is working towards – a relevant activity qualification and is excited by the opportunity to work across different areas of resort.
One day you might be supporting watersports, the next helping with tennis, fitness, biking, guest activities or an evening event.
You’ll be confident engaging with guests of all ages, happy working in a busy environment and ready to take responsibility when required.
You don’t need to arrive knowing everything. We’re looking for people with a great attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn, and we’ll support you in developing your skills and experience throughout the season.
Role Overview
As an Activities Assistant, you’ll play a key role in bringing the resort to life.
Supporting multiple activity departments, you’ll help deliver safe, enjoyable sessions while creating the welcoming, energetic atmosphere Neilson is known for.
No two days are the same. From activity sessions and airport transfers to social events and wider resort support, you’ll become a familiar face around the Beach Club and an important part of our guests’ holiday experience.
It’s a varied role that gives you the chance to use the qualification you already have while gaining experience across a much wider active holiday operation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support activity departments across resort, including Watersports, Tennis, Biking, Fitness, Children’s Club and other guest activities.
- Deliver fun, safe and engaging sessions appropriate to your qualifications and experience.
- Assist with airport transfers, arrivals and departures, giving guests a warm Neilson welcome.
- Help organise and host daytime activities, evening entertainment, BBQs, themed events and social occasions.
- Confidently communicate with guests, including using a microphone for activity briefings and resort events.
- Help promote the activity programme and encourage guest participation.
- Maintain activity equipment and facilities to Neilson’s high standards.
- Work closely with other departments to support day-to-day resort operations.
- Build positive relationships with guests and help create memorable holiday experiences.
- Follow Neilson operating procedures, safeguarding responsibilities and health and safety standards.
- Support new team members and contribute positively to a close-knit resort team.
- Be adaptable and willing to support other parts of the operation when required.

- Additional activity or coaching qualifications.
- Experience in guest entertainment, hosting or public speaking.
- Previous overseas, hospitality or seasonal work experience.
- Experience participating in or leading water-based activities.
- Additional European language skills.
Qualifications
To join us as an Activities Assistant, you’ll need at least one recognised qualification relevant to the Neilson activity programme.
Accepted qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Watersports Instructor.
- Tennis Coach.
- Bike Guide.
- Fitness Instructor.
- Waterski or Wakeboard Instructor.
- Lifeguard.
- RYA Powerboat Level 2 (PB2).

First Aid Requirements
A valid First Aid certificate is mandatory for the Activities Assistant role.
The exact First Aid requirement will depend on the activity qualification or qualifications you hold and any associated governing-body requirements.
For example, some Bike Leadership qualifications require Outdoor First Aid, while RYA instructor qualifications must be supported by First Aid certification that meets the relevant RYA requirements.
Your required First Aid certification must be in place by your start date and remain valid for the duration of your contract.
