Job Introduction
The Activities Assistant is the heartbeat of the resort — a multi-talented, multi-qualified individual who supports across multiple departments while also bringing the energy, fun, and guest interaction.
You’ll help deliver sessions in Bikes, Tennis, Beach, Fitness, Kids Club, and more, while also being highly visible and approachable around the resort. You’ll assist with guest transfers, daytime and evening entertainment, and social activity events, ensuring every guest has an unforgettable holiday experience.

Activities & Instruction
- Deliver outstanding instruction across a variety of departments in line with the Neilson programme.
- Prepare, organise, and run experience- and ability-based sessions.
- Maintain, repair, and secure all equipment to the highest standards.
- Ensure health & safety procedures are always followed.
Guest Interaction & Entertainment
- Be a visible, approachable presence around the resort — chatting with guests, dining at the social table, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with and host airport transfers, providing warm welcomes, smooth send-offs, and handling issues like delays or lost luggage with confidence.
- Organise and host evening entertainment, including social events, BBQs, and themed nights, ensuring maximum guest participation and fun.
- Plan and deliver daytime entertainment such as volleyball, beach-tennis or bad-weather alternatives.
- Confidently use a microphone to lead briefings, entertain, and engage large groups.
Resort Support & Teamwork
- Support other departments and step in where needed to meet operational demands.
- Work closely with heads of department to promote activities and events.
- Help cross-sell Neilson holidays and maintain strong guest relations.
- Ensure public areas are well-presented and always meet guest expectations.
- Assist with training and supporting new staff during peak season.
Qualifications & Experience
- Multiple relevant activity qualifications (the more qualifications, the better). See the qualifications guidance linked below to see what will be beneficial.
- Experience with entertainment, public speaking, or guest hosting is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Charisma, energy, and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Confident using a microphone and holding the attention of an audience.
- Knowledge of creating or running entertainment programmes (beneficial).
- Ability to swim and willingness to join in with water-based activities (beneficial).
- Previous overseas/hospitality experience (beneficial).
- Confident in English, with the ability to instruct and hold conversations clearly.
