Job Title: Accounts Payable and Receivable Controller
Department: Finance Team
Location: Brighton Marina
Reports to: Group Financial Controller
Salary: £25-30k - depending on experience
Start Date: Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start ASAP. At the latest, we need somebody in this role in the first week of January 2025.
Job Role Summary:
You will be working as part of the UK based group finance team within an award-winning tour operator delivering year-round activity holidays.
You will interact with all areas of finance both in the UK and overseas, working collaboratively to ensure efficient processing of all invoices, payments, and reconciliations essential to maintaining positive supplier and business customer relationships.
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end AP/AR processes, so it is best suited to a candidate with prior experience at this level or an experienced AP/AR clerk looking to take the next step in their career having gained their AAT qualification or higher.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Manage the procure to payment process, including but not exclusively PO’s, invoicing, account reconciliation, supplier queries and payments.
- Aged creditors & debtors reporting
- Payment reporting for cash flow modelling
- Preparation & production of Agent invoices and statements
- Self-billing documentation production
- Preparation of DD/consortia requests for Agent payments
- Allocation of Agent receipts to Sales Ledger
- Monitor aged debt across all sales channels, including actively chasing for outstanding agent payments through email and call
- Dealing with Agent queries
- Process payment transfers and credit notes
- Process overhead accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations – various, including control accounts and Banks
- Controlling and reconciling the company credit cards
- Play an active part within the wider finance team on ad hoc projects and various reporting requirements as they arise

- At least 2 years experience in a similar role

- Experience in travel and or tour operations
- Previous AP experience
- Bilingual / Multilingual (French, Italian and or Spanish)
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS OR ACCREDITATIONS
